Auto Detailing Terms and Conditions

Throttle Detail seeks to provide the best complete detailing service experience. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for considering our services and point out some of the terms and conditions of our business criteria. We hope you will find these policies listed below helpful and informative in explaining the extent of our auto detailing services.

By scheduling any service with Throttle Detail, you hereby agree to all terms listed on this page.

Booking and Cancellations

Throttle Detail may require a 20% non-refundable booking fee due at time of scheduling. The booking fee is required to schedule your appointment and is applied to your final bill upon completion of service. A payable invoice will be either emailed or texted for the booking fee. Once the booking fee is paid, the appointment will be scheduled and you will receive a notification. Note: (some appointments may not require a deposit. Throttle Detail reserves the right to determine if a deposit is required for any appointments made).

Things happen in life that are out of our control. We want to work with you when issues pop up. Cancellations and rescheduling requests must be made 24 hours or more in advance. You may reschedule an appointment once within 30 days with no additional booking fee. If you cannot make 24 hours notice, or no call/no show, the booking fee will be forfeited.

Payment Terms

20% non-refundable booking fee is due on scheduling. Remaining payment is due on the date of service. We accept cash, checks, major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express), ACH, Affirm, After pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Vennmo and Paypal. Please do not leave any payments in your vehicle.

Terms of Service

Throttle Detail must conduct an in-person consultation with you and the vehicle before we can move forward with a timeframe estimate to when the service will be completed . We reserve the right to adjust any over-the-phone cost or time estimate after we have visually inspected your vehicle. If the vehicle condition changes between the time the vehicle was inspected and when scheduled appointment, the cost of service may change and you will be notified to get approval prior to work starting.

If you have extra/special requests please let us know before or at the time the service order is written. Any alterations or changes after the initial service package order has been issued may result in an extra charge. Any alterations or charges to the initial service package order must be approved in writing between you and Throttle Detail before any extra work begins. Any changes to fees and/or time, be it verbal or in writing, will not affect the substance of this agreement and all the terms herein will still apply with the new rate and/or time.

Paint Correction, Polishing & Scratch Removal

Paint correction by its definition is the removal of defects in the paint surface of the vehicle.

Some scratches may be too deep to remove safely. We will always do our best to minimize them but at the risk of removing too much clear coat, we will always err on the side of caution. It is better to live with a scratch VS taking away too much clear coat. There is only so much clear coat on a vehicle and it can be easy to remove too much material. Once the clear coat is breached and removed, the vehicle panel will need to be repainted.

The amount of labor your vehicle needs to get it looking its best is different for every vehicle. we ask each customer to understand that each persons definition of perfect is not always the same.

Pre-existing Damages

It is difficult to find pre-existing damages during the initial vehicle inspection, some vehicles, tend to have interior components that are broken, scratched, worn out, faded, don’t work or become loose and cracked without the owner’s knowledge, therefore should a Throttle Detail representative find any items that are not working properly, worn, scratched, cracked, faded, or broken we will bring it to your attention, therefore you agree not to hold Throttle Detail responsible for any pre-existing damages to your car.

Dirt can hide swirl marks, scratches, dings, paint chips, fine lines and marks, should a Throttle Detail representative find any exterior imperfections, we will make you aware, however Throttle Detail will not be responsible for correcting these pre-existing paint imperfections if your service does not include it. Also, during the course of paint correction, other paint defects may become evident and we will not be responsible for these pre-existing paint imperfections; smaller scratches, swirls and other defects tend to hide and mask more serious and deeper scratches that will then be more easily seen after paint correction. Throttle Detail will not be held responsible should we find pre-existing paint imperfection during our normal course of detailing that you were not aware.

Remove Personal Items

Please remove all personal items prior to your appointment. Although we will take the utmost care with anything left inside your vehicle, we cannot be held responsible for any personal items left behind.

Child Seats

Due to child safety and liability reasons, we will not remove or replace car seats under any circumstances. We ask that our clients remove car seats and booster seats prior to appointment. Should the car seat be left in the vehicle we will do our best to clean around the car seat but can’t promise your total satisfaction.

Vehicle Battery

I understand that the doors, tailgate, trunk and hood may be open for extended periods and may cause battery discharge. I authorize Throttle Detail to utilize either a battery charger or disconnect battery to ensure battery charge. In the event your battery gets drained or dies during your scheduled appointment, Throttle Detail will be responsible for providing a jumpstart to your vehicle. Throttle Detail is not responsible for replacement of any worn out or damaged batteries should they need replacement after the service is completed.

Service Time Policy

Our service times are only an estimate. Your vehicle may take more or less time to complete the agreed upon services.

You agree to all Ceramic Coating warranty terms by agreeing to our terms.

Any water that is left to dry may form visible ringlets, which should be wiped off with vinegar until the mineral deposit is removed, as soon as possible to prevent any damage to the vehicle/ repair to the surface (i.e. accident repair) the vehicle must be taken to an approved applicator for re-treatment to the repaired area, at the owner’s expense, within 30 days. Warranty is registered in the name of the vehicle owner and cannot be transferred. Annual Inspections must be carried out by an approved applicator, within 30 days before the anniversary date of the last service to maintain the warranty. A fee determined by the approved applicator will be charged for the Annual Inspection, which includes – Exterior Wash, Decontamination, Crystal or Topcoat, and Inspection.
